  • Who can apply?

    Anyone 18 years of age or older can be an EMT, no prior experience is required, we will train you! Just want to drive? A limited number of “Driver Only” spots are also available.

    Don’t live in Stoughton? The station has several private sleeping quarters (2 are pet friendly) with TV and internet, a full kitchen and lounge area with TV and fireplace.

  • What are the rewards?

    You become part of a team comprised of medical professionals dedicated to helping the injured and sick.

    Your squad. These are the members that you run with, train with and bond with over meals. These are the men and women who will stand by your side through your best of days and your most challenging of days. In the end, you will call them - family.

    Each EMT/Driver is paid a stipend per call.

    Already a licensed EMT-B or A-EMT in Wisconsin? Hit the Apply now button below and get started.

    Need training? At Stoughton Area EMS you will be trained in CPR, and attend Basic-EMT training at Madison College. In house driver training and all the continued education need to maintain your license are provided. Best part… We pay for everything including equipment and uniforms!

  • Time Requirements as an EMT

    Stoughton EMS requires 90 hours of on call time per quarter.

    Monthly meeting/training which can be attended by Zoom or in person.

    Assigned duties on your squads weekend on call.
